Over fifty years ago, he lived with his family in Manhattan's; Greenwich Village, and it was there that he learned to play chess from an international grandmaster of the game. Years later, Lin became a teacher and has taught both individuals and groups. He plays chess almost everyday, including games on the internet and in coffee shops which he finds challenging. Co-Instructor Al Musumeci will be available also. The chess club will be set-up for all levels of ability: from beginners to accomplished players. Beginners are welcome and should not feel intimidated by their lack of chess knowledge. Lin suggests that they get a book describing chess either in the library or bookstore.
